The really nice thing about Mississauga at Christmas time is that it has great outdoor activities like lighting the square which is perfect for active families. Go ice skating, wander around the city watching the light shows, and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa from a local cafe.

But buy locally from smaller “villages” like Streetsville, one of my favorite places to visit during the Christmas season, or Port Credit in Mississauga. Here you will find the most festive atmosphere, great small businesses to shop and great food to satisfy all your cravings.
To make things a little easier, we’ve decided to list all of our holiday events in Mississauga by when they’re open. Below are the top Christmas attractions in November, and the best part is that the list also includes many free things to do in Mississauga.
One of the best places to celebrate Christmas in Mississauga is to head to Streetsville. Christmas in the Village is where you’ll find free activities and a fun-filled weekend for all ages.
Christmas In Chicago
Streetsville officially kicks off the festivities with a tree lighting ceremony featuring Mr and Mrs Claus! On Friday night, families enjoyed Queen St. St. John’s on a street sleigh ride accompanied by Streetsville Pipes and Drums and the Legion’s Color Party. Q. They can line up to greet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Saturday is full of family events including the Christmas market, photos with Santa, live entertainment, photo shoots, activities for kids and more! Sunday’s events include a Christmas market, Santa Claus and live music.
The Toronto Christmas Animal Show is for the furry members of your family. Pet lovers can find a wide variety of vendors and shows at the Mississauga International Centre.

The Mississauga Santa Claus Parade is a community-based event sponsored by many local businesses. The parade features more than 15 specially designed floats and more than 1,500 participants, including marching bands, dancers, fitness and sports clubs, community groups and dignitaries.
The parade proudly supports many important local charities such as the Mississauga Food Bank, United Way of Peel District, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, MADD, Breakfast with Santa Fund and more. When the expected crowd is over 30,000, you know it’s a hit!
The parade route closes to traffic an hour before the festivities begin, so arrive early to get the best viewing spot! And don’t forget to dress warmly as it will be cold during the event.

If you have a Christmas party for the kids, head to the Amazing Adventures Playland in Mississauga. The 2022 Jolly Jingle Bells Christmas Party promises to be a season favorite for kids under 12.
